TOMOKO SUGAWARA

A splendid musical culture once thrived along the Silk Road as is amply evident in historical paintings. Beautifully designed harps were once ubiquitous but perished centuries ago along with their music. Etherial Kugo harpist, Tomoko Sugawara revives 1200-year old musical masterpieces and performs compositions written for her recently reinvented instrument.
