After contributing six decades of musical genius, Randy Weston remains one of the world's foremost pianists and composers, a true innovator and visionary. Encompassing the vast rhythmic heritage of Africa, his global creations musically continue to inform and inspire. His new CD, The Storyteller, will be released by Motéma on November 9 and will serve as an historic sonic companion to Weston's much anticipated auto-biography which will be released by Duke University Press in November as well. 2011 will mark Weston's 85th birthday and there are many great things in store this coming year for this Jazz legend.
