Elmore Magazine reviewed Joey Alexander’s new album Countdown, calling his talents “astonishing.”

“Alexander’s talents as an artist have reached a new level with Countdown, this incredible pianist clearly establishing his own voice and identifiable musical language. I have reached the point where I no longer think of him as an incredible jazz pianist for such a young man; I regard him as an incredible jazz pianist, period.” -Sylvannia Garutch, Elmore Magazine

Joey featured as one of ‘Time’s’ Next Generation Leaders

Joey Alexander has been name a “Next Generation Leader” by Time Magazine!

“Yes, the 13-year-old is a celebrated jazz artist and one of the youngest Grammy nominees in history, for his debut album My Favorite Things. But he doesn’t like the labels that come with being preternaturally talented. “I really don’t think I’m a genius or a prodigy,” he says. “I want people to dig my music, and not care about who I am.”” – Nash Jenkins, Time Magazine

McCaslin’s latest album Beyond Now, which is influenced by McCaslin’s time working with Bowie, is his tribute to the late icon.
